On Community Sparks Channel. Organisations and Community flocked together to support each other at Torrington Town Hall Cost of Living Community Fayre 

Amidst the Cost of Living pressure rising in 2022 Ace Holds The Space launched a new drive of positivity to help a local community in Great Torrington with their wellbeing through this time.

We chose to address potential challenges ahead with resilience and Positive mind power!  We experimented by creating our very first 'public' podcast and named it 'FLIP THE SCRIPT' 

It was about celebrating and focusing on what we DO have rather than what we don't, focusing on solutions...Together! 💫💥

The Community were given a platform to express themselves as well as giving tips on Wellbeing. It was a huge success and people commented that it really lifted everybody's mood, so much, we have decided to keep doing it! We have now invested in a Mic Shield and further recording equipment to ensure that our next Podcast captures your lovely voices all that more clearly and reduces the background noise that is unfortunately on this podcast however, it wasn't about the quality - it was about bringing positive energy and platform for the community at the time.

We are proud of the Community coming together, taking pride in their town and coming out to be a force of strength and positivity for their communities.

Welcome to the now renamed: "Warrior Women of The World" West Coast Series.

 

This years topic for International Women's Day 2024 was "Tipping Points" so we decided to view this as thresholds that push women to take extraordinary leaps in our lives that result in some way toward radical change. Aired on PHONIC 106.8FM Occupy the Airwaves #OTA2024 these stories cover three aspects; MIND, BODY and SPIRIT.

 

With ‘MIND’ Roshani has looked at freeing the mind from either negative influences or psychologically abusive people. ‘BODY’ features Fitness Trainer Emma Austin and is on pushing past psychological barriers as a woman to getting fitter. Thirdly ‘SPIRIT’ has Helen Fisher, a published author, talking about her experience in recovery from serious addiction and what it took to create that change.

Shorter soundbites as well as the full episodes will be released.

This short, snappy and fun soundbite is about the 'BODY' with Emma Austin Fitness Trainer. A woman who tirelessly helps mothers to support their physical health, pushing past comfort zones as well as what it means for a woman to lift weights, albeit a type of exercise that men are more fundamentally known for doing.

Emma highlights the benefits for a woman to do this type of exercise, particularly as you get older, and pushing past any feelings of intimidation or psychological barriers in doing this type of exercise with the goal towards having a strong body. 

We look at challenges to getting fitter that effect everybody, man or woman and including sharing innovative, helpful perspectives on the body, with some content relating to health after childbirth for mothers.

Our aim is to focus on how pushing past uncomfortable thresholds and perceived boundaries can essentially empower us! 

The other parts of this series 'Tipping Point' are the SPIRIT and MIND episodes, these will also be uploaded so watch this space!
